Everyone — including your spouse — wants to be valued for who they are, not just what they do.
Even when we make mistakes, we still long to be judged by our intentions… not just the outcomes.
Think about it:
- When you forget something important, you hope your spouse remembers how much you care.
- When you mess up, you hope to still be seen through eyes of love.
And your spouse feels the same way.
Without applauding what’s wrong or ignoring what hurts, we can still choose to treat one another with kindness.
We can be firm and gracious.
We can speak truth with love.
We can confront issues without crushing the person.
Marriage isn’t about being perfect — it’s about learning how to keep choosing love, even when it’s hard.
Today, let kindness lead.
“Love is patient, love is kind… It keeps no record of wrongs.” — 1 Corinthians 13:4-5
