One Thing I’ve Noticed in Every Lasting Marriage

Today was a rest day on our road trip. We spent time with some dear pastor friends in Winnipeg and visited The Forks Market — a beautiful blend of food, culture, and memories.

One of the couples we met was celebrating 20 years of marriage! Being around them reminded me of something I’ve noticed in every marriage that stands the test of time.

It’s this:

Either the wife respects her husband more than any other man on earth…
Or the husband pays attention to his wife more than any other woman on earth…
Or both.

It sounds simple, but it’s powerful.

When a man feels truly respected, he rises.
When a woman feels deeply seen and heard, she blossoms.
When both happen — the marriage flourishes.

We won’t be driving tomorrow, so I’ll send you an email unpacking what this kind of respect and attention looks like practically.

Stay encouraged. Your marriage is worth every step.

Blessings,
Ade
