The beginning…

Every day I hear the same things from different people.

And what they say reminds me of this story about the fall.

The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”

Gen 3:12 ESV

“I am not happy because my wife is so disrespectful”.

“I am not happy because my husband doesn’t seem to hear what I have been saying all these years”.

“I can’t do this any longer. My husband is addicted to porn”.

“Our marriage is struggling because my wife doesn’t cook or clean the home”.

Blaming your spouse for your lack of joy is not new! It’s been so from the beginning.

It never leads to anything good.

Today, remember that you can take responsibility for your own joy simply by focusing more on what your spouse does well and then learning how to handle your spouse’s weaknesses.

Instead of blaming! Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how you can help your spouse overcome their weaknesses.

Blessings
