I know that this statement sounds exaggerated. But this is how some people feel.
If your spouse keeps hurting you over and over again and you don’t know how to make them stop, you may say the same thing!
But.. I am happy to say that, the same person who asked the question is happy with the same spouse today.
Building a marriage requires skills.
You need communication skills, conflict resolution skills, friendship-rebuilding skills, and marriage repair skills.
Perfect love makes learning these skills much easier but it doesn’t replace them.
You may know all the skills listed above but many people do not take the time to learn marriage repair skills.
Why? Because they hope they will never need it.
Unfortunately, everyone needs it.
Those with great marriages know how to repair the marriage before the need for repair is obvious.
