Today’s little thing with a big impact:
A Gentle Touch.
Whether it’s a soft hand on the back, a warm hug, a playful nudge, or simply holding hands—physical touch, when offered with love, says:
“I see you. I’m with you. You’re safe with me.”
We live in a world full of screens, schedules, and stress. It’s easy to go a whole day (or week) without meaningful touch—especially when tension builds in a marriage.
But did you know that a gentle, loving touch can actually lower stress, rebuild trust, and rekindle closeness?
Even Jesus, when healing the sick or comforting the broken, often used a gentle touch. It was His way of saying, “You matter. You’re not alone.”
When we stop touching, we can slowly start feeling like roommates instead of partners.
But when we reach out—even in small ways—we remind our spouse that love is still present.
Try this today:
Offer your spouse a gentle, intentional touch. Not to get something. Not to fix anything. Just to say, “I’m here. I care.”
Even if it feels awkward at first, keep trying. You’re sowing seeds of connection.
Tomorrow, we continue with Part 4: The Art of Listening Without Fixing.
Blessings,
Ade
