Many years ago, I learned something simple but profound:
My wife wants to hear how much I love her—as often as I’m willing to say it.
But that’s only half of the picture.
I also want to know how much she loves me—just not in the same way.
She wants me to express it with words, to bring flowers now and then, and—most importantly—to reassure her that I’ll always be there.
I, on the other hand, want her to appreciate my efforts and proudly say things like:
🗣️ “My husband is a genius.”
🗣️ “He’s such an excellent leader.”
I’ve come to believe this:
Men want their wives to admire them aloud even more than women want their husbands to say “I love you.”
There you go.
Same need—different language.
Try it today—speak your spouse’s love language in their way.
And if you do, hit reply and let me know how it went.
Blessings,
Ade
