We officially began our road trip today — from Cornwall toward Edmonton! Tomorrow morning, we’ll be visiting Niagara Falls as a family (we’re all excited!).
But I wanted to share a quick lesson from the road that applies so well to marriage.
On our way to Kingston today, we ran into an unexpected delay — a truck trailer was on fire, and traffic was completely stopped. We ended up waiting for about an hour until the road was cleared.
Here’s the thing…
We could have easily started blaming each other:
“Why didn’t we leave earlier?”
“This wouldn’t have happened if you had packed faster!”
You know how it goes.
But instead, we reminded ourselves that delays don’t have to lead to division.
👉 And the same is true in your marriage.
There will be delays and detours on your journey toward peace, connection, and joy. The key is to stand with each other, not against each other.
If something’s slowing down your progress at home, don’t rush to attack or assign blame. Link arms. Pray. Trust that you’ll get through it — together.
God is still leading the way.
With joy on the journey,
Ade
