Who is working in you?

Recently my wife Olu told me that what I said made her feel foolish.

And of course that was not my intention.

I apologized to her but I felt something struggling inside me.

It was not a good feeling.

So I decided to examine the feeling a little closer.

It was pride. I did not like being called out for “not being who I know God wants me to be”.

As soon as I was able to identify the source of the uneasy feeling,

I felt better in my spirit. But my flesh (a.k.a ego) still felt bruised.

I am glad that the Holy Spirit showed me that I must let Him teach me how to love my wife better with the tone of my voice and choice of words.

Here is what HE said! “If you want other people to feel even more comfortable around you, then learn how to feel comfortable when you are being corrected”.

Who is working in you? Let it be the Holy Spirit.

Blessings,
